Zapier Zaps Not Triggering? Fix Guide (2026)
Quick Fix: Most issues are solved by clearing cache, checking your subscription, or reconnecting your account. Try these fixes in order.
Fix #1: Zap not triggering
Check that the Zap is turned on. Verify the trigger app connection. Test the trigger to see if it finds new data.
Fix #2: Wrong data mapping
Use the ‘Test trigger’ button to see available fields. Check that you mapped the correct fields in your action steps.
Fix #3: Authentication errors
Reconnect your app account. Some apps expire tokens. Go to My Apps and reconnect the problematic app.
Fix #4: Task limit reached
Free plan: 100 tasks/mo. Check your task usage in Settings. Upgrade or optimize Zaps to use fewer tasks.
Fix #5: Multi-step Zap failing
Check each step individually. A failure in step 2 stops step 3. Add error handling with Paths.
Fix #6: Webhook not receiving data
Verify the webhook URL is correct. Check that the sending app is configured correctly. Test with a manual POST request.
